Vaccination Requirement

Based on material supplied in the form of a Transport Canada Interim Order, related supporting documents from Transport Canada and information from our airports of operation, Southern Interior Flight Centre has established a requirement that all persons who wish to access our facility, equipment or staff for any purpose MUST be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated is defined as the individual having received:

  • the full series of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine, or an acceptable combination of; and
  • the last dose at least 14 full days prior to the day you wish to fly

Accepted proof of vaccination information is found at the following link:
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/vaccines/life-after-vaccination/vaccine-proof.html

Vaccination status will be verified upon arrival at the facility. To maintain the highest level of personal privacy and protection of your information, please do NOT forward any vaccination information via email and do NOT provide photocopies of vaccination information for us to keep.

Southern Interior Flight Centre will also honor proof of APPROVED medical and religious exemptions.  Please contact your health authority and/or Transport Canada if you believe one of these exemptions applies to your situation.

Are you a customer, or potential customer of SIFC trying to access the facility?

If so, we have some very specific policies in place to protect yourself and our other customers and staff.

  1. Click the 'click here' section of the title of this paragraph above to have a self-declaration automatically open in your email client, for you to review and submit if you meet the requirements. This must be completed each day before you arrive - we recommend you complete it from home as our wifi is sometimes problematic in the parking lot, and
  2. You must call our main number from the parking lot when you arrive so we can guide you into the building, as we have specific pandemic occupancy limits in place.

Background:

To prevent the spread of an infectious disease and reduce the potential risk of exposure to our staff and students, Southern Interior Flight Centre requires important screening information. Your participation is required to help us take precautionary measures to protect yourself and others in the facility or aircraft/simulators. You must submit this completed form on the same day you are planning on attending SIFC, prior to your arrival at SIFC for any reason, or any other location you will be working with our staff or using our equipment.

Please Note: Access to our facility will be denied if this information is not submitted, if any statements are fraudulent or missing, or if you display any symptoms indicative of potential illness upon your arrival.
